Job Opportunities at Le Jardin Academy

Le Jardin Academy is the first school in Hawaii to offer the full International Baccalaureate continuum.  Le Jardin Academy is a nurturing, vigorous learning community. MS Principal

MS English Teacher - Full Time

Le Jardin has an opening a full time MS English Teacher (MYP Language and Literature) for the 2016-17 school year.   A Bachelor degree in a related field is required; a Master’s degree in Education or current teaching credential is preferred along with a  minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.  Knowledge and/or experience of the IB  Middle Years Program is a plus. Gym Maintenance

Junior School P/T French Teacher

Junior School Part time French teacher starting in January 2016. Mandarin Chinese Substitute Teacher

Coaches for Kayaking, Volleyball, Canoe Paddling, Water Polo, Golf

Le Jardin Academy is seeking coaches for various levels in Kayaking, Volleyball, Canoe Paddling, Water Polo and Golf for the 2015-2016 school year.  Le Jardin competes in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH).  The ideal candidate has had playing and coaching experience and is able to motivate and teach effectively at a variety of skill levels. 

Le Jardin is a nurturing and vigorous learning community.  Positive communication and mutual respect between coaches, students, parents and the Athletic Department are valued and expected.

Bus Driver for Athletics

Le Jardin Academy is seeking an on-call Bus Driver. Must have CDL with P and S endorsements. The ideal candidate is a good communicator with a clean record who is conscientious, reliable and enjoys working with students of all ages. Head Girls’ Water Polo

Position Available:  Head Girls’ Water Polo

Deadline:  Open until filled

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledge of and experience in coaching and instructing players in the rules, regulation, game strategies, and techniques of water polo in order to prepare them for athletic competition
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with parents, students, faculty and the administration in a professional manner

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The coach will also be responsible for:

  • Completing the Coaches Education requirements set by the ILH and Le Jardin Academy
  • Submitting all required documentation to the athletic department in a timely manner
  • Excellent leadership, supervision and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of skill levels
  • Instill good sportsmanship and be a positive role model
  • Follow the LJA Coaches Handbook on policies and procedures
  • Develop lifelong learning skills in each student athlete
  • Work at posting team information on the team webpage
  • Submitting information for the weekly document sent to all stakeholders
  • Working with the department on setting up transportation
  • Keeping an accurate inventory of equipment and uniforms
