Le Jardin Academy is the first school in Hawaii to offer the full International Baccalaureate continuum.  Le Jardin Academy is a nurturing, vigorous learning community. JUNIOR SCHOOL


Le Jardin Academy Music Teacher

 MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL


Middle School/High School Student Counselor

Le Jardin Academy is seeking a qualified Counselor who is capable of working with middle and high school level students.

The Counselor will be offered a full time counseling position that will include additional daily responsibilities as assigned by Principal(s). The successful applicant will be working closely with a student support team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years school counseling experience
  • Bachelor degree in related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Applicants must be allowed to work in the United States

Preferred Requirements

  • Masters Degree in related field
  • IB experience and credentials

VACANCIES FOR SUBJECT TEACHERS

MYP Design Technology Teacher

Le Jardin Academy is seeking a qualified Design teacher, who is experienced working with middle and

high school students, to deliver the IB MYP Design program. The program focuses on problem solving

and innovation, using the Design Cycle. Course content may include multimedia creation, computer

programming/robotics, and mechanical/electrical applications.

Also integral to the course are research skills, digital software and applications, and hand/power tool

safety.

This full time teaching position will also include daily responsibility as assigned by principal(s). Classes to

be taught are three sections of MYP2 Design and one section each of MYP4 and MYP5 Design.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 3 years teaching experience

Baccalaureate degree in related field (ie. design thinking, computer science, programming, or

engineering)

Excellent communication skills

Applicants must be allowed to work in the United States

Preferred Requirements

1. Masters Degree in Education or related field

2. IB teaching experience and credentials

3. The preferred candidate would have knowledge and experience related to robotics, computer

programming, and digital design.

4. Competitive Vexilar, Botball, and First Robotics teaching experience

 

MYP Music (Chorus)/Drama Teacher

Le Jardin Academy is seeking a qualified Music (Chorus)/Drama teacher who is capable of working with

middle and high school level students to deliver the International Baccalaureate MYP Arts program. This

position will focus on theory and performance related to Chorus and Drama.

The teacher will be offered a full time teaching position that will include additional daily responsibility

as assigned by principal(s). Classes to be taught are four sections of MYP Arts (Chorus/Drama). The

successful applicant will be working closely with a team of Arts teachers.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 3 years teaching experience

Baccalaureate degree in related field (Music/Drama/Education)

Excellent communication skills

Applicants must be allowed to work in the United States

Preferred Requirements

1. Masters Degree in Education or related field

2. IB teaching experience and credentials

Certified teachers & non-certified assistants for Le Jardin Academy Summer Fun Programs. Temporary positions with no benefits. Part-time morning and afternoon shifts available June 9 - August 9, 2014. $8.75-$15.00/hr commensurate with qualifications. ATHLETICS

Le Jardin Academy is seeking coaches for the 2014-2015 school year. Le Jardin competes in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH)
grades 7-12
.
Head Coaches are needed for Girls' Volleyball, Boys/Girls Kayaking and Boys/Girls Swimming. Coaches at various levels are needed for Kayaking, Volleyball, Basketball, Swimming, Canoe Paddling, Water Polo and Golf. The ideal candidate has had extensive playing and coaching experience, is certified in the sport, is a " student of the game, " and is able to motivate and teach effectively at a variety of skill levels. Le Jardin is a nurturing and vigorous learning community. Positive communication and mutual respect among coaches, students, parents and the athletic department are valued and expected.
