COVID UPDATE: The Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) in conjunction with its member leagues - the Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF), Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH), Kauai Interscholastic Federation (KIF), Maui Interscholastic League (MIL), and the Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) - are working within DOH, CDC, and government guidelines to determine the plans for the upcoming fall season. All parties including athletic directors throughout the state are meeting regularly to find solutions for Hawaii's student athletes to safely return to play. We will share more detailed information as it is approved.
Interscholastic athletics are an integral part of the educational process at LJA. We believe that broadening experience creates harmony between team, sound, soul, and heart. Our aim is to develop a competitive athletic program without losing sight of values such as sportsmanship, health, and academic achievement. Guiding the team to achieve maximum potential is our ultimate goal.
LJA is a member of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) and the Hawaii High School Athletics Association (HHSAA).
We put our focus and energy into the process, as opposed to the product. It's imperative that we teach our athletes about life lessons through sports, emphasizing the tangible tools they can take with them after the season ends.
