Aloha Junior School 'Ohana,
I am happy to announce that following last week's unfortunate news, all first-degree contacts who tested have come back negative. Mahalo nui for all of your support during this time as well as a special mahalo to Windward Premier Group for providing on site testing on the upper campus and for taking such great care of our 'ohana. We also appreciate the many families who reached out to check in on those affected and we are glad to share that the family reports they are doing well with mild to no symptoms.
A big mahalo also goes out to our teachers and staff who quickly shifted gears to offer distance learning where necessary and support our on campus learners as well. We are excited to have everyone from the Junior School back for in person learning tomorrow!
Me ke aloha pumehana, Josh Masagatani

A special staff highlight this week spotlights our amazing JS Administrative Assistant, Kimberly Miyahana, as she and her family welcomed baby Kyler Ramsey Kahelemeakua Miyahana as the newest addition to their family - and the cutest little new Bulldog Pup to the LJA 'Ohana!
For the past 2 years, Kimberly has been serenely and seamlessly managing the Junior School office, all while gracefully raising her family in beautiful Kaneohe. The best part of her job is being around her own kids during the school day and getting to know their friends and teachers. She loves working in the office while her oldest son Kyson explores and learns in PK next door and her daughter Kayli blossoms up in 5th grade. Next year they are thrilled to have 3 of their keiki at Le Jardin Academy as little brother, Kayden, joins PK in the fall!
Kim's favorite place to eat in Kailua is Kalapawai Cafe & Deli and her absolute favorite weekends have no agenda and allow time to sleep in! In those rare moments of sleep, her dreams are filled with family at the happiest place on Earth, as her dream vacation would be a 2 week trip to Orlando/Disney World with her entire family.
Let's send our love, appreciation, and blessings of joy and peaceful nights of sleep (full of Disney dreams!) to our wonderful Kimberly. Congratulations Miyahana 'Ohana!
