Message From The Principal
With the end of the school year just less than two weeks away, students and teachers are busy wrapping up final projects and assessments ready for the start of a much deserved summer holiday. I am certainly very proud of all of our students' accomplishments over the year, especially the ones we have highlighted in recent weeks. The culminating concerts, May Day event, and poetry performances are just a few of the examples of the talent, commitment and perseverance our students have demonstrated. I also want to send out a special recognition to 8th grader Hannah C. for being our first national award winning student-writer; this notoriety certainly captures all three of those traits brilliantly. Way to go Hannah - we are so proud of you!
8th Grade Parents: As mentioned earlier this spring, this year's 8th grade Moving Up celebration will be on Tuesday, June 1st. This year we are happy to invite up to 2 adults to attend the "walk-thru" celebration with your 8th grade child. Next week we will be sending home an email and RSVP with more details about the event. For now please note that there will not be a formal program, but a window of time (5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). This will be a time for parents and students to be recognized and enjoy an opportunity to say goodbye to faculty and friends as they walk through the middle school to different celebration stations. We look forward to seeing you all very soon!
