Principal's Message by Alex Ramsvig, HS Principal
September 9, 2021
We are quickly moving into the phase of the year with many more meetings and opportunities for parents to interact with LJA. Under normal circumstances, most or all of these events would be on campus. Due to our heightened response level, for the time being, we will be relying heavily on our zoom capabilities. Please note that this week we have our MYP parent information session for grades 9 and 10, followed by the DP session next week.
Importantly, we will also launch our Parent-teacher conference booking system through a program called "Youcanbookme" which we have used very successfully over the past two years. If you have more urgent concerns with a particular class, please do reach out to the particular teacher for immediate help.
As always, please feel free to stop by with any questions or concerns.
Alex

College Visits are Back!
I am very excited to see some college visits coming back to our Le Jardin campus. It won't be even close to pre-pandemic numbers but certainly a good sign. There will also be periodic virtual college presentations specific for our students at Le Jardin Academy. At the moment, on campus college presentations will be available only for juniors and seniors. They can preview and register for college visits using their Scoir account.

Communication to Seniors
Good Morning Seniors- Hope this day brings many great moments and don't hesitate to stop and appreciate them. I am passing along resources to consider in both your college research and scholarship opportunities. Never assume any particular scholarship pool is too big or too competitive. Over the years, I have witnessed our students have great success. These students were also very diligent in their efforts..."leave no stone unturned".
Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions and good luck. .

Please help support the LJA Senior Class of 2022!
Every year parents and friends of the senior class of Le Jardin Academy plan and execute Project Graduation immediately following the commencement services. Project Graduation was started over 30 years ago to provide a safe, drug and alcohol free celebration for the kids on their special night. All expenses are paid through fundraising events organized by the class. This year's crew is off to a great start and already has their first fundraiser on the books.
If you missed out last year, now is your chance to purchase this custom LJA hoodie with 100% of proceeds going directly to the class of 2022 Project Grad! Adult and children's sizes available.
Thank you for your support!
Le Jardin Academy has once again partnered with Habilitat to provide fresh, beautiful Christmas trees this year. There are six different pick up spots all around the island and a wide variety of trees, wreaths and door charms. It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas and all proceeds will support the Class of '22 Project Graduation. Visit www.hawaiichristmastrees.com or scan the QR code in the flyer.
