The Student Success Review: An Introduction to the Team and the Process

This event will be held in person on LJA's campus in the Wang Auditorium. Our special guests will provide an introduction to the Student Success Review team and process.

What is the Student Success Review (SSR)?

• An action-oriented case review process that reveals what is working or not working for students receiving learning support services.
• A way to measure practice performance, celebrate success, and guide necessary actions to strengthen practice.
• A quality assurance tool to deliver better results for students, families, educators, and schools.

Student Success Review findings are used by the school staff and leadership to improve school-based services for all students.

Meet your SSR Leadership Team:

Cathy Joseph holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Change in addition to her Special Education credentials. She has been reviewing student cases since the 1990s in Hawaii and several other states across the mainland.  She brings her reviewer expertise and relevant knowledge about school culture, climate, and local interests to her role as the site leader and coordinator for the SSR activities at Le Jardin Academy. 

Ray Foster, Ph.D., has spent more than 40 years working in program development, performance evaluation, case review processes, and system change initiatives. His experience spans special education, early intervention, child welfare, mental health, and intellectual and developmental disabilities systems in numerous states. He brings valuable tools, strategies, and lessons learned about successful system changes, performance measurement and feedback strategies, as well as organizational learning and leadership to the LJA SSR team.

Barbara Foster, Ph.D., Measurement Consultant is the President of Inquiry and Improvement, Inc. With a Ph.D. in Evaluation and Measurement and a Certificate in Business Management, Dr. Foster brings over 40 years of expertise in measurement, evaluation, research, policy analysis, organizational management, and strength-based community building and collaboration.  She has served as a consultant for performance evaluations in child welfare and mental health systems, as well as evaluation studies used in program development.
