The entire Junior School team is now back on campus and actively preparing to welcome your children. We are very excited to welcome our returning students and our 40 new students to this new school year. We are welcoming Emily Craig, music teacher to our dynamic team!


Teacher Assignments/Conferences:

Teacher assignment letters, also showing which day your child will start, will be emailed August 9. Starting August 10, teachers will be calling you to schedule a child-parent-teacher conference to be held August 15-17. A friendly reminder to complete and bring the Questionnaire for School Entry, a heavy art apron (not plastic), and a change of clothes in a gallon sized labeled plastic bag to the conference. For those staying after 11:20 a.m., please bring a fitted mat cover (light cotton pillowcase style approx. 44" x 21". No heavy denim or quilted material). No backpacks, please. Kindly remember to label all items.


Upcoming Events:

New Parent Orientation - Our New Parent Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, August 16 at 5:00 p.m. in the Dahl at our main campus. This event is for adults only.


Bienvenue au Jardin: We hope to see all the new families and their children at the Bienvenue au Jardin event at the Junior School on Friday, August 17 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Bubbles, shaving cream, play dough, glitter tattoos, balloon fun, and miniature ponies. Refreshments will also be provided!


Lunch and Snacks:

All preschool students will be served a nutritious morning snack and an afternoon snack for those enrolled in Extended Day after 2:30 p.m. Students staying after 11:20 a.m. may pack lunch from home or order lunch and 1% milk from LJA's Lunch Program when the September orders are available. We recommend that lunches brought from home contain an ice pack to keep food cool or a thermos for hot foods as we do not provide a microwave or refrigeration. Please note the Lunch Program begins on September 4 for the Junior School; all students should bring lunch from home prior to September 4.


Health Forms and Information:

The information and forms requested in Magnus Health must be completed and reviewed before your child can attend our school. State regulation prohibits attendance without these documents. Returning families will need to complete the Magnus Health information but new health forms are not needed unless your child was previously missing required immunizations. Please remember that if this is the first time your child is attending Le Jardin Academy, you will need to submit the Student Health form 14 and Preschool Supplement form 908. It is imperative that all the information is entered in our Magnus Health system.  The Student Health form 14 record must include a current physical and TB clearance dated within 12 months of the first day of school or the State of Hawaii TB Risk Assessment for Adults and Children Form, and evidence of proper immunizations.

August 22

Whole group/regular schedule begins including Extended Day


Every new student will receive a bulldog pup t-shirt, and all students will receive an LJA t-shirt as a welcoming gift from LJA by the first day of school. Additional bulldog pup t-shirts will be available for purchase.
