![]() Message from the Athletic Director Fall sport tryouts started at the end of July and are well underway now. I am excited to see our gym full of volleyball players, the cross country athletes stretching in the grass, the kayakers doing land workouts and our water polo boys conditioning in the pool. These great sounds and sights really bring life to the campus and prove that our student-athletes are dedicated and passionate about what they do. I am also excited to be a part of the LJA community and look forward to fierce competitions and the life lessons that present themselves through athletics as the fall season begins. -Athletic Director, Jana Fraser Surf Team News "The surf team is a friendly and competitive sporting environment for the newest Olympic sport. The team includes both men's and women's shortboard and longboard, as well as a co-ed bodyboard division.
Meet our Athletics Trainer Hunter Warner is starting his second year as the Athletic Trainer at LJA. He is finishing the final year of his Master's degree at UH Manoa studying Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science. After graduating from his alma mater, Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, he worked as an Athletic Trainer for a couple years before moving to Hawai'i. Outside of school and work, Hunter loves to hike, free-dive, and play basketball in his free time. Fun fact: his high school mascot was also a Bulldog, go Bulldogs! ![]()
