Coffee with the Principal

September 13:

Junior School Parent Night

Welcome again to this new school year!  It has been wonderful seeing our returning families and meeting our new students and parents on the first two days of school.  Welcoming half a group at a time has allowed for a smooth transition to school, with more individual attention for each child. The Junior School team is ready and excited to start teaching and playing with your children.  Thank you for ensuring that your children have been washing their hands in the morning prior to entering their classroom.  This policy will help us to reduce the spread of germs.

Please report all absences or illnesses by calling the Junior School Office directly at 261-0707 ext. 1150 or send an email to by 8 a.m.  Please keep in mind that teachers are unable to check their voicemail and email when they are with students.  If you need to contact a teacher during the school day please call the office and we will deliver the message.

Friday Folders:

Make sure you take home your Friday Folder the last day of each week and return it to the homeroom teacher every Monday.

Arrival and Early Care:

Early care is available from 6:30-7:30 a.m. in room 9.  Homeroom teachers pick up early care students at 7:25 a.m. and are available to greet their own students in homerooms as early as 7:30 a.m.  If not in need of early care, we recommend a drop of time between 7:40-8:00 a.m.

We ask that parents please respect the dismissal times of 11:20 a.m. for early PK students and 2:20-2:30 p.m. for the other students as teachers are scheduled to attend meetings as early as 2:45 p.m. We thank you for your cooperation.

Due to our large number of Extended Day students at 2:30 p.m. we are asking that only Extended Day students play on the playground at dismissal time.

Homeroom Parent:

If you are interested in being a homeroom parent please send an email to by Sept. 10. The primary responsibility is to support the teacher and to act as a liaison between the teacher and parents in the classroom, to help coordinate events, encourage participation for Coffee with the Principal, our Junior School picnic, open houses, and fundraisers.

Enrollment for September Hot Lunch and milk is available online now. Please visit the school website, and click "parents" in the top right-hand corner.
