New JK Student

Please help us welcome JK student Jackson Timbs who joined Mrs. Brooks' class on September 24th.

Reminders to Parents

Parents are reminded of the licensing requirement of signing students in and out at drop off and pick up.

Parents are also reminded to communicate to the office any changes in address, phone numbers or names of persons authorized to pick up your children. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Coffee and Pastries from St. John Lutheran Church

As you may know, LJA leases from St. John Lutheran Church and both parties value this partnership.  In an effort to celebrate this relationship, parents are invited to join the members of St. John Lutheran for coffee and treats as you drop your children off and/or wait for the PK field trip on September 28th.   We'll be set up in the front courtyard (as we have in the past).  This is our way of saying we are glad you are here and also gives us a chance to visit and get to know each other a bit too. See you then!

Current Junior School families are invited to a breakfast, presentation and visit to the classrooms to learn about the Kindergarten program.  The event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 - 10:30 in the Dahl Multi-Purpose Room at our main campus.  Please RSVP by October 15 to Jennifer Souza

New Room Parent

We would like to thank Marsha Bentzinger for volunteering to be the room parent in Mrs. Fairbairn's room.   (206) 604-4984

Hot Lunch

Concessions would like us to remind you to please order your child's hot lunch BEFORE the first of the next month to ensure continuous delivery.

JK First Flag Ceremony – Oct. 15

The JK students will participate in their first Flag Ceremony on Oct. 15 starting promptly at 8 a.m. Parents are invited to join the first day of the week, usually Mondays, and stand alongside teachers. Please model proper respect by not talking during the ceremony. If you arrive after the ceremony has started, we ask that you wait in the classroom with your child or on the sideline by the restroom. Please click here for lyrics to our flag songs.

Picture Makeup Day – Oct. 29

If your child was absent on their picture day, the makeup day is Oct. 29. Please have your child come to school in their picture clothes and pack a change for afterwards.

Halloween Parade – Oct. 31

The Junior School Halloween Parade will take place at 8:15 a.m. on Oct. 31 on the playground field. Students come to school dressed in costume and bring a change of clothes in a labeled bag. As you plan for your child's costume remember that weapon accessories may not be brought to school. Celebrations will follow in each class with a special snack and activity. We thank you for following the no goodie bag policy, including candies, and for checking food allergies when planning snacks. We appreciate your cooperation.
