PICTURED ABOVE: Grades 9 and 12 helped to clean the Lower School campus garden. The project is part of a collaborative effort with Grade 1 who came up with a vision of using the space for farm to table learning.

BLOOD DRIVE

LJA recently received an award for the highest student participation in a school blood drive in the state of Hawaii and is hosting another Blood Drive on Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Let's keep supporting our community and make this blood drive another success.

 

Our enthusiastic Blood Bank of Hawaii Student Leaders - Riley Diersbock, Kailey Suezaki, Luciano Oliva, and Sean Lindell - have already filled 16 of the 60 available appointments.  Click here for the student waiver. Email Luke Thompson to make an appointment.

IB TURNS 50 TODAY!

When the International Baccalaureate was founded in 1968, there were just seven IB schools worldwide. Today there are almost 5,000 IB World Schools in more than 150 countries. To celebrate the anniversary, IB World magazine created a special souvenir issue. To view, click here.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
The Book Fair is coming soon!  It will run from Nov. 6-9 at the main campus and Nov. 7-8 at the Junior School campus. The fair is an amazing opportunity for your kids to fuel their love of reading, for you to purchase gifts for the upcoming holidays, and for Project Grad to raise money to fund a safe graduation event for our seniors. Please participate in any way that you can, click here for the volunteers sign-up sheet.
