Principal's Message

by Alex Ramsvig, HS Dean of Academics

The last week of October marks the end of the beginning of the school year. Throughout the High School, students are working collaboratively on major projects, deep into their course content and hopefully making interdisciplinary connections across their subjects. In short: we are right in the middle of it all!

This has also been spirit week with High School wide activities, dress up days and of course the big football game all organized in partnership with student leaders. Students have been integral in organizing this week and I would like to thank the Student Government Association and Director of Activities Kara Omori (and many members of the faculty) for all their hard work in making this week a big success.

I would also like families to be aware that as is the case often this time of year the school has had this past week numerous confirmed cases of Influenza A ("the flu") so parents should be looking out for symptoms in their children. Please also feel free to contact our school nurse if you have any questions or concerns.

Finally, we are looking to have a very large turnout this Saturday for the Homecoming Dance (organized by the Junior class!).

As the Fleur Turns

The coconut wireless reports that the Homecoming Dance will be held outdoors.

SORT OF TRUE! The juniors have organized the dance with food being served under a tent by the lookout, and the actual dancing happening in the Dahl.

Happy Halloween from the HS!
