GIVING DAY

There's Thanksgiving, followed by Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. After a weekend full of turkey and shopping, Tuesday November 27 is LJA Giving Day; a day to be grateful, to celebrate giving, and to give back.

This year we're commemorating LJA Giving Day with a challenge. When we reach 200 donors and raise 80,000 dollars on November 27, LJA will receive an additional $80K in matching funds. That means an extra $80K for LJA and our students. That means that your gift has the potential to double and have even greater impact.

Help us meet this challenge. Make a gift on LJA Giving Day!

ROBOTICS TEAM RECEIVES $6,000 GRANT

LJA's middle and high school robotics team received notice this week that our team won a $6,000 grant from NASA in support of the FIRST Robotics Competition. The grant was written in large part by senior Ke'alohi Young who is a founding member of LJA's high school program. Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology, FIRST Robotics Competition is called the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it "the hardest fun you'll ever have." LJA's team #7548 will be a rookie team this spring.
