PICTURED ABOVE: It was merry and bright at the Junior School Christmas Concert.

As we are about to embark on our winter vacation time, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all Le Jardin Academy community members.  Whether you will be traveling or staying close to home, I hope everyone enjoys the spirit of the season. I also hope you will be able to catch up, relax and rejuvenate.  Everyone has worked hard this semester and deserves the rest.

At the same time, I know that even during vacation time learning can continue. Recently I came across a Hawaiian phrase that speaks to this:  A'ohe pau ka 'ike i ka halau ho'okahi.  Translated as "all knowledge is not taught at the same school or one can learn from many sources," the phrase reminds us that every experience provides an opportunity to learn and grow.

As the sun sets on 2018 and rises on 2019, I wish everyone the continued joy of learning.  See you in January!

With Aloha,

D.J. Condon

TOYS FOR TOTS

The outpouring of generosity from our school community filled eight boxes of toys from infant items to scooters and boogie boards. We can all feel good knowing we helped the U.S. Marines brighten the holidays for needy keiki in Hawaii once again this year. Thank you to Ann Medeiros (Parent of James '19 and John '24 for spearheading this fundraising event for the PFA.
