Lower School Principal Message

In the past couple of weeks, students in grades 3-5 were given the opportunity to give anonymous feedback on their teachers and class work. The information was shared back only with the teachers. This is part of our process to continuously improve and learn what it's like to be a student in these year groups (and for grades 6-12 as well). This year was a pilot year, but we will continue using student feedback every year as part of our professional growth process.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT

This Student Council event will run from 4:00 – 6:00pm tomorrow; come on time as your child will want to enjoy all the games! Other considerations:

  • BOOK EXCHANGE – don't forget to go to the Media Center for the Book Exchange that happens. Your child should have received coupons for every book he/she turned in to exchange a book for a book.
  • LOST & FOUND – check out the lost and found while you are here. It is FULL and the items need to go back home. Unclaimed items will all be donated during spring break.
  • SPIRIT STORE – besides food, Kyle will be selling the new Spirit Store items in the Wang. Check them out!

WELCOME NEW STUDENTS

We want to welcome Violet Skrzycki to Mr. M's fourth grade class as well as Daniel McDaniel to Mrs. Blaser's kindergarten! Please help us include them in our LJA ohana!

GRADE 4 OFF TO BIG ISLAND

Our grade 4 students are heading off to the Big Island next Wed – Fri. This is an awesome rite of passage that combines all of their units of inquiry in one experiential learning opportunity.

MEASURING SUCCESS FOR STUDENTS - TONIGHT

It's time again for the LJA Blood Drive. Consider parking on March 21st and give blood. Over the past two years we have collected over 108 units of blood! Thank you for your support!
