![]() Message from the Athletic Director
On April 3rd, 20 of our coaches attended a professional development workshop that focused on psychological skills training. We talked about numerous topics such as the inverted U of arousal, which examined optimal physiological body responses to stress. Goal setting, visualization and pre-game routines were other subject areas that examined through meaningful conversations as they relate to our teams, and what specifically we can do to improve as coaches in these areas. -Athletic Director, Jana Fraser
![]() YOUR INTERMEDIATE BOYS VOLLEYBALL D2 CHAMPIONS!!!!
![]() LJA has two girls basketball CSAL teams. This is coach Kalani's team after their scrimmage on April 2nd.
![]() Well done varsity girls water polo team. Congratulations on a successful season and good luck to the seniors!
Did you know that a whopping 79% of high school students at LJA participate in at least one sport? That's a very impressive percentage! Also, the average GPA for high school athletes at our school is 4.1.
Interested in Track and Field? LJA Athletics is considering it's own track and field team next year, and we're trying to estimate how many students may be interested in competing. Currently the track and field option is through Pac 5, and families have to drive into town to practice a few times a week. If we declare our own team, practices will be held on the Windward side, and LJA would add another sports team to our athletic offerings. If you think you may be interested in competing on the track team if we are to sponsor our own squad, please send an email to the Athletic Director, Ms. Fraser, jana.fraser@lejardinacademy.org. We are trying to see what sort of interest there is for our own team, so we can determine how to proceed with our sports offerings for next year.
Got Pictures? Do you have pictures from the Spring sports season of your son or daughter competing? If so, the Athletics Department would appreciate them to put in our banquet video. Please submit them to jana.fraser@lejardinacademy.org Thank you
