Condon and other community leaders as they share their visions for Hawaii's competitive advantage in fostering understanding among different worldviews, contributing to the global economy and preparing young people to be leaders in these efforts. Our goal for the event is to construct a shared understanding around global/international mindedness and its relevance in our fractured world order, as well as to inform future programming for the school. MERIT SCHOLARSHIP AND FINANCIAL AID DEADLINE FEB.15 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT Maile Belnap '20 entered LJA as a Junior Kindergartener. During her high school years, she played varsity soccer and basketball, and participated in the spring play, Acapella chorus, and the Amnesty and Yearbook club.
She says "the DP program has been instrumental in developing strong research and writing skills, and has definitely helped me to develop a very critical and analytical mind."
Maile has committed to Santa Clara University and will major in political science. "Santa Clara offers great opportunities and internships for students, and I will find it rigorous and challenging. She looks forward to the beautiful campus and the friendly people she encountered on her visit.
Maile plans to join intramural sports, engage in service opportunities and internships, study abroad, and participate in clubs that spark her interest.
