August 27, 2020 Lower School Principal Message Aloha Lower School Families!
Thank you to those of you who attended this morning's Lower School Principal's Coffee. These events (now virtual) are a great opportunity to receive updates on where we are, where we're headed, and how you can share your input and support. Please view the recording of this session or skim my slide deck from today. We intend to hold these events regularly to keep communication strong as we navigate this dynamic pandemic environment.
Next week we will be holding our annual Parent Nights! We were hoping to come together on campus to share in the magic that fills the Lower School, but unfortunately, for our safety, we must run the event virtually. Please register below.
Yesterday, I shared the Parent Feedback Survey. As an IB school we believe in "feedforward," continual growth and improvement informed by feedback. We hope to hear from you regarding your perspectives around Distance Learning. Additionally, feel free to reach out to me any time via email.

DISTANCE LEARNING KIT PICK UP / Materials Exchange (TOMORROW)
Friday, August 28 for grades K - 4 in the loop, 12:00-2:00pm
Please check with your teacher for items they want returned, if any.
All DL kits will be left at the front office if they are not picked up by 2:00pm.
Front Office Hours The front office is open daily from 7:00am to 4:00pm during Distance Learning. All materials that need to be picked up or dropped off outside of Distance Learning group pick up events will be in the front office.
Placards in Cars Please use your car placard on your dashboard so we can easily identify you.
Distance Learning Travel Bags The bags that your child's Distance Learning materials came in are intended to be reused for the duration of DL. Please use these bags every time you return materials to the teacher to help us be earth friendly and to reduce the cost and labor of providing replacements. Thank you.
THINGS TO TAKE NOTE OF PARENT NIGHTS Parent Night is a great way for you to get to know your child's teachers better and learn more about your child's grade level. Please register for Parent Night below.
COMMUNICATION For all questions about your child's learning, please email your child's Anchor Teacher first. Your teacher will be able to share with you the specifics of the learning experiences and how they can best support your child's unique learning needs.
For all programmatic questions regarding our school's program, please email Leah.Magana@lejardinacademy.org. If the question is specific to your child's experience, I will direct you to speak with the teacher.
