November 5, 2020 Lower School Principal Message Aloha Lower School Families!
As an IB School, we carry out its mission: "The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that people, with their differences, can also be right."
Aloha, Leah

RECENT EVENTS SENIOR-KINDER TRADITION It is LJA tradition for the seniors to walk the kindergarteners into their first all-school assembly. Of course we couldn't pack all the kids into the gym this year, but last month, Seniors were able to walk their kinder-buddies to an outdoor, physically distanced picnic. View the recording of this event. Photo album of the event.
REMINDERS PFA ROOM PARENTS NEEDED We are still looking for PFA Room/Grade Level Parents to support the communication of special events. Specifically, we need parents in grades 1 and 4, but several other classrooms across the school. For information about this role click here. Please sign up here if you are interested in helping the PFA in this way. MORNING LOOP DROP OFF We are getting better at drop off! Thank you for remembering to pull all the way forward into the red zone when dropping kids off. We thank you for remaining in your cars during drop off to keep the traffic moving.
If you are dropping off late or picking up early, please pull up to the main office. Someone will come greet you and escort your child to/from class as needed.
Please remember to complete your self-screening EVERY day. This is an important community agreement. We thank you in advance for letting us know in the loop if you've forgotten so we can screen your child prior to entering the classroom.
This winter is forecast to be a rainy one! Please send your child with a raincoat as many of our activities are held outside in all weather.
