Mahalo! Ittai Winter Concert Information
An email was sent to students participating in the Winter concert discussing plans for the event and we wanted to share the information with parents as well. Please note that the plans are still being finalized and things might change as we work on creating a safe, creative and wonderful program for the students to showcase their musical skills gained over the last few months.
The music and video performances of the ensembles will be recorded ahead of time and presented later in a Webinar format, scheduled for a potential release some time during the week before the Winter Break begins.
In order to safely and effectively capture the performances of these students, audio and video recording will take place on separate dates. The video shoot is currently planned for December 10 and 11; the audio recording will happen on December 9, Wednesday. You will be excused from your classes during these times on both days.
The blend of audio and video formats will enable us to insert short videos of musicians practicing for the concert, either individually or as the group, so students should start thinking about what kind of short video of themselves they would like to submit and plan to have this video ready by December 7.
Audio recordings will take place in the administrative building courtyard while the video recording will take place on the school field. Time frames for each day will run from 8:00-11:00 AM with the schedules for each ensemble to be sent later.
Students will need to come to school on Friday the 11th with the appropriate attire.
Attire for the groups will be as follows:
Note-- All attire should be compliant with the school dress code
Chorus: White, red, or dressy aloha shirt and black pants for boys with dress shoes. Girls may wear a red/black dress or white shirt with black pants/skirt (skirt should be at least knee length).
Band: Slacks, no shorts, Collared Shirt (long or short sleeve, no polo), Shoes; Dresses, if worn, should be mid-calf.
We are looking forward to your wonderful performances!

Spirit Store & Lunch
Hello LJA Community! Today we are announcing the launch of Student ID Debit Cards!
This means that parents will be able to load money under their child's name to be used at the Middle/High School Concession Stand. This point-of-sale system will be integrated with LJA's Spirit Store, which allows students the ability to use credit/debit cards, cash, or store credit. To redeem cash credits, students will be required to show their school ID to the concession stand employee when making a purchase. We hope that this will make lunch purchases easier for you and your child.
This is brought to you by the LJA High School Student Government.
HERE is the link to LJA's spirit store where you can make an account
Required PE shirts/shorts for school and other Spirit items are available to order. Orders placed when the Spirit Store opens will have time to arrive before needed in PE.
