6th Grade Science Students Study Permeability Around Campus
Important Upcoming Events & Reminders Julie Do, MS Principal
Dear Parents & Students,
I hope the start of the new year is going well for everyone, and we are looking forward to less rainy winter weather and more beach time next month. I know personally my Super Bowl Sunday plans have opened up, so I'm hoping the sun shines bright next weekend...As a reminder last week we released the end of the first semester progress reports on ManageBac. Please reach out to teachers if you have specific questions or concerns about your child's marks and/or progress. Please also keep in mind that for middle school, these grades are not the final marks for your child's courses; those will come at the end of the school year.
Advisors discussed report cards and goal setting with students this week. If you haven't had the opportunity yet, we encourage you to have meaningful conversations with your child about his/her progress and to help support your child with the practice of reaching out to teachers if extra help is needed. This is a great way parents can help reinforce the important self-advocacy skills we work on all throughout the middle school years. This is an important component of shaping students' intrinsic motivation for learning and striving towards their own achievement goals now and in the future.
Speaking of the future, please join us for the upcoming "MS Coffee with the Principal" where we will have High School Principal Alex Ramsvig along with other special guests join us to speak about our high school programs and the many opportunities that lay ahead at LJA for your child. More information below.
I hope to see many of you at the Coffee and as always please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you, Julie GO PACK GO GO Mr. Liedtke's CHIEFS! Save The Date Coffee With The Principals
