Spring has sprung! It was a hot and sunny week on campus. Be sure to put sunscreen on your children in the morning. We are reminding the kids to drink plenty of water.
We only have 7 weeks left of school (can you believe it?) and these weeks are incredibly busy. Be sure to review the important information below and check in to this newsletter on a weekly basis for updates.

UPCOMING EVENTS / TAKE ACTION EARTH DAY - April 22 (Next Thursday!) April 22 is Earth Day and we've packed the day with rich learning experiences, sustainability, biodiversity, and healthy habits for ourselves and the planet. Kindergarten will be at Keiki and Plow, Grades 1 and 2 on campus with local experts, Grades 3 and 4 at Kahana Iki stream, and Grade 5 up in the forest. VIRTUAL MAY DAY 2021 K-8 May Day will be virtually live streamed for parents this year as parents are not allowed on campus. May Day will be a full day of school.

PICTURES FROM THE WEEK
Grade 5 continues to explore chemistry in the kitchen. This week our fifth grade team provided an opportunity to make cheese in collaboration with our high school science teacher, Mrs. Brown.
Grade 4's unit, "shake it up," explores the earth's natural disasters. In Media last week, students designed strong structures to sustain the forces of the strongest earthquakes.
Grade 1 students are busy reading and writing!
