Principal's Message by Alex Ramsvig, HS Principal April 29, 2021 Aloha All,
Throughout the newsletter this week, you will find photos from two amazing events last week: Earth Day and our Senior College Choices celebrations. Both went so well, and I felt the energy and enthusiasm among our students in a palpable way. Thank you to everyone who helped make these events happen!
On Friday of this week, DP exams begin on campus for our Seniors. These exams mark the culmination of two years of concerted effort by these students and is truly a chance for them to demonstrate one particular set of academic abilities (with positive results potentially leading to college credit!).
HS Students have two full academic weeks left this year, followed by exams and then I-Term. Somehow this year is almost over! Please make sure to be checking in with your child as the volume of work and expectations will be increasing in this final push.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

With vaccinations ramping up and summer on the way, it feels like the end of the pandemic is beginning to enter our sights. But for kids who've spent the past year weathering so much uncertainty and disappointment, there are still challenges. This week we take a look at how parents can help kids manage their feelings and expectations during this complicated time. And we offer tips from childmind.org for supporting children who are struggling, both now and after the pandemic ends.
