Happy Summer Holiday Everyone!
I hope this first summer mailing finds you all enjoying some much deserved family fun time. We are busy working on all of our upcoming school year plans. In this first summer mailing you will find lots of important information to help your child be prepared for middle school. Please do take a few minutes to review this information with your child. Later this summer we will have one more summer mailing with additional information about the school year and upcoming events. In August prior to the start of school we will send out a link for your child's class schedule once they are all complete. If at any time in the interim you have any questions please feel free to contact Kim McDonald our MS Administrative Assistant for questions and/or clarifications (Kim.McDonald@lejardinacademy.org). Additionally if you have any questions regarding the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and/or your child's upcoming courses, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or our MS Dean of Academics & MYP Coordinator Rachel Domenic (Rachel.Domenic@lejardinacademy.org).
We hope you all have a great upcoming July 4th holiday!

MS Dress Code One of the conditions of enrollment is that students and parents agree to accept, support, and abide by the dress code which we hope is flexible enough to provide a range of options which families can make choices. Students must come dressed to school in attire that is conducive to a learning environment. Students not abiding by the following dress code will be asked to change. If no other appropriate attire is available, we will contact parents to provide attire that adheres to our Dress Code Policy.
Personal Appearance Guidelines:
Compliance with these rules is determined by school administration and is a condition of enrollment. A student who fails to comply with the dress code may be required to meet with school administration, have a conference including parents and/or have clothing brought from home depending on the circumstances.
Athletics
Aloha student-athletes in grades 7-12 and parents,
Following the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) Athletic Directors workshops, and in conjunction with the Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA), all are prepared to proceed with athletics as traditionally scheduled prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, with necessary accommodations as needed to provide a safe environment for participation. As the necessary accommodations and safety protocols are shared with the member schools approaching the athletic seasons, we will share that information with all participants.
The annual athletic physical exam is still required, please click HERE to download the form. Beginning July 1, 2021 the completed form can be uploaded to Magnus Health link via the LJA website.
The Le Jardin Athletics 2021-2022 Parent-Athlete Resource Guide is required, click HERE to review the guide. Beginning July 1, 2021 the acknowledgement form can be completed on the Magnus Health link via the LJA website.
For grades 4-6:
Aloha student athletes in grades 4-6 and parents, The Christian Schools Athletic League (CSAL) has opted out of participation during the 2021-2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. LJA has therefore decided to proceed with a sports experience for boys and girls basketball and volleyball, similar to the sports experience that was offered in the 2020-2021 school year. We are in the process of establishing seasons and schedules, as well as accommodations and safety protocols necessary to provide a safe environment for participants. As the necessary information is finalized, we will share with all participants.
