October 1, 2021 High School Principal Message Aloha All,
By the time you are receiving this newsletter, we will have completed our "trial" run at our LJA COVID screening process in the high school. Next week, I will report on successes and areas of growth.
We will complete the PSAT tests on campus on October 26th. As we do each year, we will have different arrangements for each grade in order to accommodate this important testing.
As a reminder, periodic screening testing began yesterday. Please take a moment to review LJA's Periodic Screening Testing Guide for information about what to expect on testing day. You will receive a communication via text message from Le Jardin Academy followed by a second message from our testing partner Premier Medical Group sometime prior to your child testing. The second message will say, "Child's Name needs you to sign two documents" and a link (pmg.app.perseus…) to click to sign the medical waivers. When you receive this text, please take a moment to follow the prompts and complete the waiver forms. This will register your child for testing and allow you to receive text information about your child's test results. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Teachers will have marked their availability for conferences during prep periods as well as before and after school. Once you have scheduled your time, teachers will receive an email with the requested date and time. As the conference date approaches, please follow-up with the teacher to receive their Zoom information. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns. DP Parent Survival Series On October 7 from 6-7pm join DP Coordinator Lindsey Schiffler and DP teacher/parent of a DP Alumna Melissa Handy for a condensed version of their DP Parent Survival offering. We'll discuss the transition from MYP to DP, marking in the IB, the Extended Essay, and internal assessments. This is an informal presentation that is valuable for parents with students in grades 9-12.
