| LJA STUDENTS FEATURED IN HAIS MAKERSPACES VIDEO The Hawai'i Association of Independent Schools invited LJA to participate in a series filmed last school year about Makerspaces. Prior to this project, LJA had been included in an educator tour of schools that have design thinking in their programs. We were invited because we are an IB school and require all students in Grades 6-10 to train in the design process as a core class and LJA integrates design across our school. Many schools have a "space" dedicated for hands-on making whereas LJA incorporates making throughout our inquiry-based programs. Watch the video. LJA students featured at 6:15-23:50. |
