Cross country finished their season in Kauai with the State Championships. Audrey Zwicker finished 24th, Elena Piette finished 40th and Kelsey Carvill finished 46th out of 200 of the best runners in the state! Way to go girls!

Boys Intermediate Soccer

Our Bulldogs got their season going on October 31 with a tie with the Iolani Red team for their opening season game. Their second game was on November 3 at Waipio.

Girls Intermediate Soccer

The women start their regular season November 5, with a game against Punahou Gold.

Boys Intermediate Basketball

The intermediate boys started their season off with a bang with their 66-19 win over Punahou School on November 1.

Kayaking

The kayakers concluded their season on October 29. Team members Jenna Jaffe, Zayn Kahn, Anne Schmidt, Oliver Miller, Jet Finley, Michael Hochart,

and Luke Bagley all participated. Everyone on the team competed in either the JV or Varsity Championship races. Zayn and Oliver competed in both JV and Varsity Championships. Oliver pulled out a first place in the 250 m Varsity Sprint final with a time of 57.8 seconds, bringing home gold for LJA. This was Jenna's final kayak race for her high school career. With over half of the team being freshmen, we look forward to more years of progress and success.

Sailing in the Off Season

On Saturday, October 29, ninth grader Michael Kai Hochart placed 1st in the Maui Divers Interscholastic Cup, Hawai'i State High School Sailing Singlehanded Championship! The event was run in Laser Radials at Waikiki Yacht Club and open to Grades 7-12. Another Bulldog, Gabe Bradley (8th Grade) placed 6th! Way to go guys!

National Signing Day for Athletes Playing in College

On November 9, from 6:15 a.m-7:15 a.m. at the Neil Blaisdell Center, the Class of 2023 will celebrate those athletes who have accepted scholarships to play their sport at the next level. If you are a senior who is interested in attending this event, please fill out this form. The report time for student-athletes and their supporters is 5:45 a.m.

Lifeguard Training

Kane'ohe Swimming Pool will be having a lifeguard training certification class in December 2022. Here is the official flyer. There is a need for lifeguards across the island, and this creates a great opportunity for high school upper classmen and UH system students for part-time work. If you have any questions, please contact Randall Hong.
