LJA MUN delegates attended the Hawaii Pacific Model United Nations Conference at the Hawaii Convention Center this past weekend. 400 students from Hawaii, California and Japan participated in the event. 17 students from our school, showcased their parliamentary procedures and debate skills in 8 Joint Crisis Committees and two General Assemblies. Students had the opportunity to interact with Benjamin Lee, a Human Rights Policy Advisor to the Australian Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva. India Spriggs and Sidney Grimsley each co-chaired a committee. Hannah Kurosu received a Researched Award and Carabelle Abbas, John Helman and Cole Ewalt received Verbal Commendations.
